Meet Charlie Smith, UKIP’s elected Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Bedford and Kempston constituency in the 2015 General Election.
Educated at Pilgrim Upper School, Bedford, Charlie has spent his entire working life in the Bedford area. Previously a partner in a family business based in Kempston, he then went on to use his small business expertise in the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), for which he held the position of Regional Chairman.
“I am a member of UKIP because I want my country to once again be a self-governing democracy. I have wide-ranging political beliefs, refusing to be labelled either left or right in the political spectrum. This is important and makes UKIP my natural political home. UKIP is a tolerant, broad-minded and progressive party that not only promotes democracy for our society, but practices democracy within itself. If you are like-minded, I would urge you to join us.”
